Who We Are
Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church is an Evangelical, Reformed, Confessional, and Gospel-centered body of believers. We exist to glorify the one true and living God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally one in essence and three in persons, the Sovereign Creator and Lord of all things (WCF 2.3).
We are devoted to following Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, incarnate in time and space as the promised Messiah, the Word made flesh and the perfect revelation of the Father (John 1:14, 18; Heb. 1:1–3). Our calling is to worship and walk in discipleship to Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
What We Believe
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and sufficient Word of God, the only rule of faith and obedience (2 Tim. 3:16–17; WCF 1.2). These Scriptures, interpreted by the Holy Spirit within the communion of the Church (WCF 1.6, 1.10), form the doctrinal foundation of our faith and practice.
We joyfully embrace and subscribe to the doctrinal teaching of each paragraph of the Westminster Confession of Faith and each question and answer of both the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, which we believe to be a faithful summary of the teachings of Scripture and a precious inheritance of the sixteenth century Protestant Reformation.
Our chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever (WSC Q1; 1 Cor. 10:31; Ps. 73:25–26). We live to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the advancement of His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10; WCF 25.3).
At the heart of our faith is Jesus Christ, who is the center of all history and the only Mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5). He was born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:35), lived in perfect obedience under the Law (Gal. 4:4–5; Heb. 4:15), was crucified to make atonement for His elect (Rom. 5:8–10; Isa. 53:4–6), was buried and sanctified the grave for His people (WLC Q50), rose bodily from the dead on the third day (1 Cor. 15:3–4), and ascended into heaven, where He reigns with all authority at the right hand of God (Acts 1:9–11; Eph. 1:20–22). He shall return in glory to raise the dead and judge the world in righteousness (Acts 17:31; WCF 33.1–2).
Our Mission
The mission of Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church is the mission given by Christ to His Church in every age: to make disciples of all nations by proclaiming the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:18–20; Rom. 1:16), teaching them to obey all that He has commanded (John 14:15), and building them up in the faith once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3).
We aim to see sinners regenerated by the sovereign grace of God (John 3:5–8; Titus 3:5), converted in repentance and faith (Acts 2:38; WCF 15.1–2), and gathered into the one body of Christ, united in love and holiness (Eph. 4:4–6; Col. 3:12–15).
We seek to be salt and light in the world (Matt. 5:13–16), a righteous influence wherever God has placed us, bearing witness to the reign of Christ and the justice of God reflected in His moral law (Micah 6:8; Rom. 13:8–10; WLC Q91–98).
Our full confidence for this task rests not in our strength, but in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, who enables and sanctifies the Church unto all good works (Zech. 4:6; Eph. 3:20–21; WCF 16.3). Therefore, we do not boast in ourselves, but glory in the Lord our Redeemer and Strength (Jer. 9:23–24; 1 Cor. 1:31; Ps. 28:7).
